SAT subject tests: do we really get 10 extra points for just turning in the test?

I found this information on the Snopes message board so its not actually the real fact checking website here is the link

http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=23;t=000382;p=0

so if someone scored a 790 on one of the subject tests will the 10 extra points bring it up to an 800?

@Redarrow456 If you don’t turn in the test, how do you get a 790 in the first place?

What?? That’s BS. It is scored on a scale of 200-800. Look up raw score conversions. Depending on which subject test you’re talking about, you get a fraction of a point taken off for every wrong answer, as opposed to 0 points taken off or given. The reasoning test doesn’t deduct for wrong answers because it’s based on critical skills and how to do your best interpreting the test, while the subject tests are based on knowledge that you should have.
