Hi, I'm going to be applying for the CALS next year, and I had some questions about the SAT subject tests. I took 3 subject tests in May(Bio M, Math lvl 1, and US History). I feel like I did fine on math and US History, but I think I bombed the Bio one. On the Cornell site, it says that the CALS recommends subject tests, but does not require them. If I get poor results back, to what extent should I submit my scores? Should I not submit any? Should I submit only one, or two? If I do poorly on Bio, should I even submit the US one? Because it says that a test in a science and math area are recommended.

Hi Yellowdog 69, since Cornell requires two sat subject tests just submit your two highest sat scores.

Yellowdog99, CALS does not require the SAT subject tests so it is completely up to you whether you would like to submit your scores. Since they are not required they cannot hold it against you if you don’t submit them.

Hey thanks for your response. At what point in the scores should i decide whether they are good enough to benefit me or poor enough to only work against my chances of acceptance?
