I plan on taking three SAT subject tests in December for UC Davis.

Is that a good idea to boost my chances of being accepted?
Also, is it too late to take those SATs in December?

Go here for the policy of the UC campuses on SAT IIs [University of California - SAT Subject Tests](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/requirements/examination-requirement/SAT-subject-tests/) Note that Davis does not recommend SAT IIs. However, also note introductory statement:

“A few UC campuses recommend you take certain SAT Subject Test recommendations for specific colleges or schools, and majors. Even if subject tests are not recommended, they do add merit to a student’s application.”

That means they might still consider if submitted but you should not expect them to provide any significant help.

Though they have an application deadline of Nov 30, the UCs accept through the December test date. You should name one UC to which you are applying on the application to automatically receive scores when released, i.e., as open of your free sends. That is fastes form of delivery and assures they will arrive in time to be considered. You only have to send them to one UC because others to which you apply get them from the one.

So if Davis does not recommend it, is it still good to at least do some?

oh okay! Im scared because my ECs arent too strong. So i want to prove my academic side through my SATs and my GPA.

Bumpp.
many people are telling me that UC davis doesnt accept sat subject tests at the december date.
