How many subject tests does Cornell require? If you exceed the requirement, can you choose which ones you send in? (Sorry if this is a stupid question. It's all just so confusing)

it depends on the individual college. I know CoE requires one science and one math. CALS “recommends” the same. I believe CAS requires two of any subject. as for the others, I don’t remember.

Thanks! So, if I took History, Lit, Bio, and Math, can I not send in my Lit score (because it was really bad?)

Btw, I’m interested in applying to ILR

yeahh that should be just fine, i believe. I’m in the same boat. thinking of not sending my godawful us history score. haha. although I’m wondering if a 5 on the APUSH exam will balance it out.

Thanks! But I thought Cornell didn’t have score choice?

Are you actually “score choicing” if you only send the requirements?

I’m not sure. That’s what I was asking. Anyone??

Cornell requires that all SAT scores are sent from all tests.

so how much would a bad subject test bring me down?

No, you only have to send all scores from the SAT. You can choose which subject tests you want to send.

Cornell requires students to submit all scores from tests taken and does not participate in the College Board’s Score Choice.

The above was taken directly from the admissions page of Cornell. I would say the ALL means ALL. I dont think that they will even consider more than 2 anyway unless the college specifies which tests you need to take. CALS requests math and a science. I’m not sure about the other colleges.

Wait, now I’m really confused. I’ve been hearing different things all day. Which one is it?

Check the Cornell admissions page [Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - HOW TO APPLY](http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/firstyear/instructions.cfm)

Standardized Tests
All applicants should submit either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with Writing. In addition, each undergraduate college/school has specific requirements for the SAT Subject Tests (see requirements below). It is your responsibility to make sure that you have taken the appropriate Subject Tests and have the scores officially reported to Cornell from the testing agency by the application deadline. Please note that Cornell requires students to submit all scores from tests taken and does not participate in the College Board’s Score Choice.
