My son does extremely well in History. Would it better for him to take both the U.S. and World History subject tests to satisfy the requirements that some of the schools have for two subject tests or should he take one history and one of something else? Wondering if schools ask for a variety of these tests.

it’s okay to take both of those, but he might want to take at least a math one, and maybe even a science one, just to show that he’s well rounded in all subjects.

Unless you are very good at reading and history, don’t try it.
Every history test requires you to read a lot and memorize a lot.
You’d better spend time on one history subject.
