Selective schools usually require 2-3 SAT 2 Subject tests, now, say I take science, math, and Modern Hebrew, which is my first language, can I do that? would colleges accept it? The level of the test is ridiculous for Hebrew speakers, that's why I wonder.

Do any of you guys plan on taking/took the test in the their languge?

yeah i thought so... my friend took it but it's really nothing hard... it's like a 3rd grade lavel. every dumb natuve hebrew speaker can do that and score minimum 790!

I have exacty the same doubt, someone had told me that some colleges go as far as not accepting a SAT II in your native language. Does anyone know if there is a SAT 2 for german?and about what level of difficulty is it?

If you take one, as part of your 3 required, and get a 780, i reckon adcoms will literally laugh at you and call you pathetic. But this wouldnt apply to students who are taking their native language whilst having been living in another country for like 16 years or something. But I mean, wouldn't you look friggin pathetic as Korean, living in Korea, getting a 780? 790 would look like if you made 1 stupid mistake, but anything below 780 would make you look silly.

But take it if you want to be your 4th SAT II.. but still, it won't prove much.

If I were you, and if the school required 3, I'd take - a math, science/eng literature or history or subjects along those lines, a foreign language you have learnt at school for the last 3 years, and your modern hebrew if you want.
But please don't include it as one of your 3.

there's nothing wrong in taking the sat2 in your native language. no one prohibts it. and usually most univs require only 2 subject tests(considering the writing one is now included in the new sat) so it won't hurt if it's your third choice. :)

Harvard doesn't accept it as one of three SAT IIs that are required.
But, I asked Yale admission, and they said it won't count against you even as one of three subject tests.
