Sat Subject Tests Poor Scores?

Last year, I took the Sat II tests in Biology E/M and World History. A blunder on my part for not studying AT ALL, I did very poorly on each test. What makes it even more pathetic is that I took AP Bio and AP World History the same year (as a freshman).

On the AP Bio Exam, I received an extremely high 4, and on World, I received a 5. Bio, I didn't study, but I was extremely close to a 5. Should I retake it next year for the 5?

I received a 640 in Biology M and a 720 in World History. I didn't study at all, but I thought I did ok in that regard.

Please tell me, is it a good idea to retake the tests with proper preparation and do significantly better in them next year? Or should I just let the scores stand?

I plan to major in either biology or biochemistry, with a career in medicine holding prospects in my mind. I'm taking the Sat II Chemistry this year WITH proper studying and preparation.

You make me chuckle.

It is impossible to know “How close you are to getting a 5.” Collegeboard doesn’t release the composite scores of each individual student. Therefore, you could have gotten a low or mid 4, but it is impossible to know. Lol.

640 in Biology M and 720 in World History are excellent scores rofl.

Retake them and get in the mid/upper 700’s. 640 and 720 are not excellent scores, unless if you’re just average.

you’re right i exaggerated a bit. 640 on Bio is good 720 is very good.

By national standards 640 is OK 720 is good.

definitely re-take if aiming for top schools

I would retake the SAT II for both but not the AP.
