So I plan on taking these tests in May 2009.

Do you think that by taking the classes

APUSH, pre-calc, and AP Chemistry (ive already complete pre-calc, im in APUSH and AP Chem right now), I can get an 800 on all 3 of these tests (so no additional prep).

I get As in all of these classes and I understand them fairly well.

Also since Ill be taking the AP tests for US and Chem, Ill study the AP topics in April anyways. Do you guys think I need to do any additional prepping? Thanks

Well, my son did two years ago, except he took physics instead of Chem. Certainly doable for the other two. The AP US history multiple choice and SAT2 cover exactly the same material. You should take a look at the pre-calc practice tests and just make sure *your *class has covered all the topics. ditto with chemistry.

Personally, I took Math II & Chem in May 2008 right after taking AP Chem & Precalc, and I got 800s on both.

I did have to study quite a bit for Math II... it's much more tricky (and even obscure) than you may think. On the other hand, I did not study at all for chem.

You'll be perfectly fine for history if you took APUSH. No prep needed. I didnt know anybody that prepped for SAT IIs after studying for the AP exam and most got 750+

Haven't taken Chem but seniors who took them at the beginning of AP Chem still got fairly decent scores (650+ in like October/November?..just a couple months of Chem and some cramming the week before)

I would study for Math II..I took it after pre/calc so that stuf was fresh on my mind but it's really tricky...easy to mess up too.

Richarddd. Li.---How different was the AP Chem exam from the SAT II Chem? I'm taking it in June so I have some time to prep for the SAT II if needed...is the AP exam more specific/tricky than the SAT II or the other way around..or around the same? Does one cover slightly more material than the other?

AP Chem and SAT 2 Chem are very different. I know this is said a lot about the history subjects, but it is definitely true that AP is concept based and SAT is fact based.

I took those three subjects in June after APUSH, AP Chem, and AP Calc. US History is very easy, Math 2 can be difficult but has a nice curve, and Chem can be tricky if you don't know a lot of little facts (for example, knowing that purple=magnesium would help).
