SAT Subject tests vs AP weight

Which test has more weight?

Will a 5 on AP Bio balance a 700 SAT subject test?

In terms of difficulty, I think the 5 is more impressive (a 700 is not extremely high), but in terms of admissions a 700 would be more valuable since most selective schools use AP scores for placement and not necessarily admission.

if i send both will they realize my potential and disregard a low SAT II?

I would send in both. Whatever gives the admissions office the best view of you as an applicant is good.

yeah, but people need to realize you get only 80% of the questions right on the ap for a 5, whereas on the sats you need to get at least 95% of the questions right to get an 800

^ True, but you also need to realize that the SAT II tests are generally much easier and more basic than the AP exams.

I suspect I got a 4 on the AP chem exam, yet I’d be surprised if I get below 750 this Saturday.

EDIT: And for most AP exams, you don’t even need 80% right for a 5.

yeah that is true
