SAT Subject Tests

Hey guys, rising junior here and just read : Meet SAT Subject Tests™

I had no idea that subject tests should be taken as soon as possible after the course...
I took Honors Bio last year and did well in it so my question is whether it would be better to take the subject test(s) now or wait for AP Bio (Which I am taking senior year)
Also, having taken Algebra 2 Honors last year, would it be better to take a Sat Math test as well? I'm beginning to think I'm running out of time! (I don't know about what, I'm just very paranoid!)

For regular admisison, for colleges that require or recommend SAT IIs, you have until either December of your senior year, or for some schools Jan of your senior year, to complete all testing. That rules out waiting until after you take AP Bio in senior year to take Bio. If you intend to take math, particularly math 2, and you are now in pre-calc, you should wait until after you have completed that course. Others you can take when you want. Many advise soon after completing a course but you can do so later and you just have to prepare for it. (That advise is simply based on the fact that if you wait you may have to study more for the SAT II because you are going to forget some things you had in the course.) Many don’t take any subject tests until late junior year or October senior year, so you are not behind.

Ah man, thanks ! That’s such a relief! I think I’ll take the chem and math 2 right after honors chem and pre-calc ! Thanks again!
