SAT Subject Tests

Most colleges do not even require or want SAT IIs. Those that do, if applying for political science major, accept any two (a few that recommend but do not require subject tests recommend three) as long as they are in different subjects. If choosing between math 1 and 2 (neither of which is required for applying for political science) be sure to check college’s rules or recommendations first. For example, although subject trests are not required, the UCs recommend them for some majors and at some of the campuses and they do not accept the math 1 so if you submit a math it must be math 2. Likewise, Stanford recommends math 2 if you submit a math.

Pre-Med is not a major. Checking a box that says pre-med on your application simply tells the university that you want be part of its pre-med program which is an advisory program where you are assigned advisors who help you choose courses, show you how to apply to med school, etc. Anyone and everyone who applies to the university can check that box and it means nothing as to whether you will or will not be admitted to the university.
