SAT Subject Tests...

I plan on applying to Columbia this fall and I have a couple of questions regarding SAT subject tests.

I have not actually taken any advanced classes in some of the more science/math fields (no APs, stopped Honors classes after chemistry, so all regular maths and physics) in high school, but I got a 790-ish on Math II. Is this an adequate substitution, or will it harm my admission? Also, my first language is English, however I took Spanish for 3 years in high school and my mother's friend and many of my classmates are fluent, and I practice with them often. I've also been teaching myself Japanese and Chinese since 8th grade. Is it worth it to attempt the subject tests? I'm much better at Japanese speaking, but I have an easier time remembering the Chinese character meanings and writing. I do practice a lot with people I know, but their grammar isn't always perfect. I'm considering going for something like anthropology, linguistics, sculpture, or engineering. I'm wondering what other SAT II's to take. I really want to wow the admissions team. I'm good in all my subjects, and my GPA is perfect and I've taken a lot of advanced courses, but I'm not valedictorian or anything. Also, I only have academic and sevice extracurriculars- I don't play sports. Anyway, I would just like some helpful insight. Being smart just isn't enough for a place like Columbia.

Most school sites have all the concrete things you need to know, CC is good for gathering intel on the intangibles. Anywho, good luck!
