SAT Subject Tests!

Hi , I will be applying for admission in us universities in fall 2014. I want to take 3 SAT subject tests very shortly. What's the cost of 3 Subject Tests i.e. Phy,Chem,Math2. Is Security surcharge also added for India in SAT2??? Because I don't have enough money to give an AP , so will not taking AP put me in disadvantage??? My marks 9th- 9CGPA , 10th- 9.8 CGPA , 11th - 85%.

bumpppppp

are you applying so that you go to college in Fall 2014? That is, to the Class of 2018. In that case, to my knowledge, the SAT testing deadlines have passed. Most colleges only accept SATs till January.

Colleges do no expect you to take APs if they are not offered in school. No, it will not be a disadvantage. If the fee is the problem, just check out if college board offers fee waivers for the AP exam.

Subject SAT registration is $24.50 plus $13 per test. Yes, you have to pay a surcharge of $40 as you are testing from India. Again, if fee is a problem, fee waivers are available.

But, do clarify which academic year you are applying for.

AP tests are Rs.6500 per test but the fact that they can provide credit hour worth thousands of dollars should also be considered while deciding to take up the AP

no they are Rs 9500 per test.

it really depends on the city you are testing in. But yes, it is Rs 9500 in some cities. But @savemylife is right, you will be saving a lot of money.
But this will be effective only if the college you plan to go to accepts the APs that you take. Some do not give credits for AP at all, some do not for some AP subjects and there is a score requirement too. The most selective accept only 4s and 5s.
