SAT Subject Tests

Hello everyone! I am a sophomore in high school and I am planning on taking these SAT Subject Tests:

10th grade
Japanese with Listening
World History

11th grade
Korean with Listening
Math II
Spanish
Latin
US History
French (if I do early admission)

12th grade
French with Listening (if I don’t do early admission)

I’ll cut right to chase, I love languages. In college, I want to major in linguistics, which is why I want to take a lot of SAT Languages. I am a native Korean speaker and I am learning Japanese (3 years), French (9 months), Spanish (3 years), Latin (1 year). I want to take the Korean test but I heard that it doesn’t really matter because so many people take that test and get a good score. I am preparing for the test right now and the listening is easy (bc my parents talk to me in Korean) but the grammar/reading comprehension needs some work. Should I take it or do something else?

I also have an interest in history, which is why I want to take the SAT World History and US History. Right now, I am taking AP European History, and I love the class. I wish there was a SAT Euro test, but CB doesn’t so I decided to do the World History. But, I quickly found out that the World History Test is not only limited to Europe. Should I just self study for the exam or not take it at all?

I’m debating whether or not I should do Math II because it doesn’t relate to what I want to do in life, but I hear that if you get a good score on the test, it looks very good. I am taking Accelerated Precalc/Trig in junior year, but I am worried because I feel like I will be taking the test too late. Should I still take the test?

Thanks in advance

Woah, slow down there. At most, you only need three SAT 2’s and that’s mainly for one school (Georgetown). Pick 2/3 subjects and focus on those tests. Anything more is a waste of money and time.

@Hamlon okay thank you

@davidyekwonkim - take the Math II in addition to 1 languages and / or history. That will show variety. Rest - you say you have AP in school - take those. SAT subjects are expensive and IMHO not valued as much by most schools.
Instead of all these SATs, focus on ECs and school. Good luck.
