sat subject tests

Hi, I just had a quick question. Does anyone know if you are planning to apply early and you take the subject tests your junior year, do you still have to submit them when you apply? I know you don't have to submit them if you haven't taken them, but I'm worried if I do bad in June, i might have just been better off postponing them and not taking them until next year so I don't have to submit them. Thanks!

keep in mind that when you submit your SAT reasoning test scores, your SAT subject tests are sent automatically

okay, i thought that might be the case...thanks

If you think you're ready then take it, because most schools only consider your highest scores... if you do badly on say Chem, not only do you get another shot later on, you also have experience taking the test...

yes, that is a good point, but i thought for early action, Georgetown only looks at scores from an applicant's junior year. My math teacher advised me to wait to take the Math II test until next year in the fall because I will be taking AP Calc, but if I am allowed to send that score in from the fall, then I think it would make sense to take it now too and see how I do. It's all so complicated!

Also keep in mind that Georgetown does not reject EA candidates... and its unlikely a SAT II score will make/break your EA results... If that were the case, they would just defer you to regular...

also, Math level 2 and AP Calc are totally different... the only thing I remember on level 2 that was remotely calc - ish was basic limits... and taht will take you maybe 30 minutes to learn...

do NOT wait until AP calc to take the MathII. Calc is not in any way invovled, the math is entirely pre-calc. Take it now, when you're fresh in the stuff, and have likely just finished studying for your pre-calc final.

ok guys thanks for the advice! I will take it now!
