I know Whitman doesn't require SAT Subject Tests, but will they be considered if submitted? Thanks.

According to Whitman’s most recent common data set, they do consider SAT Subject Test scores if submitted.

Also, don’t SAT I and SAT II scores get sent in the same report anyway?

Can you provide me with a link? I checked the CDS for 2008-09 on the Whitman website, and there is no check mark in the box that would indicate that SAT subject test scores are “considered if submitted.” Thanks.

actually i’ve never seen any section of data/facts/admission stats of any school that shows that SAT subject tests score range/percentile or whatever
but most of them will consider SAT Subject Tests if scores submitted
in fact, i’m intending not to send SAT score but SAT sUbject tests scores instead

Check the Williams thread for a link that shows percentiles of SAT subject test scores for Williams.

As you probably know, Whitman requires either the SAT I or the ACT, so if you are not sending the SAT I scores, you must submit the ACT, in addition to your SAT subject scores.

Hi. So I misread a box on the common data set that said SAT, ACT, OR SAT subject tests as SAT, ACT, AND SAT subject tests.

However, both the College Board website ([College Search - Whitman College - SAT®, AP®, CLEP®](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3450&profileId=6)) and the International Admissions page on the Whitman website ([International Students](http://www.whitman.edu/content/admission/apply-to-whitman/international-students)) state that subjects are not required, but considered if submitted. I don’t know why they wouldn’t say that on the regular admissions page though…

I think as a general rule, good subject test scores can only help your case for acceptance, so I would submit them even if they’re not “required”. I’m not sure what the procedure is though if your sending your ACT score, since I only sent in my SAT scores. A quick call to the admissions office would clear this all up though, I’m sure.
