So I need to take math 2 in october, but I already passed the regular registration date and I don't want to pay 70 dollars for the late fee. I'm applying early to dartmouth. Will a 650 bio, 710 chem hurt my chances? If it is too detrimental, should I just pay 70 dollars and take math 2 in october?

I thought you could use the Nov test date as well and the results would still get there in time for ED according to the Dartmouth website: [Early Decision](<a href=“Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions”>Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions)

Early November
Last Available Standardized Testing Date All Applicants Info

Did I miss something there?

I just signed up for october. I’m afraid of taking it as late as november.

Unless you have a hook, any test number that starts <7 is a significant detriment to your app. I would guess that the mean Subject Test scores are similar to SAT score, i.e., ~750.

The mean SATII’s are probably higher than 750. I would say that your scores are way too low. Try to have both be in the 750+ range. Most of my friends got 800’s on at least one SAT II.

If you think you’ll do better on math (or any other tests), I’d take it…I don’t know about 800’s, but I’d say 750ish would be a good target.

Are SAT IIs still required if I submit and ACT plus writing score?? The website is somewhat ambiguous on the matter. Can AP scores replace SAT II scores?

Yes, and No.

Guys I’m really worried. I have a 800 and 760. Are they good enough for Dartmouth?

Try to shoot for a 900.

zackfasho, It is my understanding that the ACT with writing can sub for the SAT, but you still must submit two SAT II scores with it.

Wait seriously, I’ve looekd at Dartmoutha pplicants and they’re all pair 800s, I have a 760! How badly will that hurt my chances?

It wont “hurt” your chances at all. Don’t worry about it.

iPacman…if you are serious … an 800 and a 760 are fine. Two scores above 750 seem to be a good target, as others have said.

Well as long as they look at the top scores, then my 650 shouldn’t hurt me. I’m hoping for higher than a 750 on math 2.

Not necessary. An 810 is plenty good enough for Dartmouth.
