SAT Subject Tests

<p>It says on the website that SAT Subject Tests are not necessary for admission to USC, but recommended for consideration for merit scholarships. Like most people, I cannot afford to go to USC without merit money. Does anyone know if "recommended" here means "do it if you want merit scholarships"? I'm asking because a) I havent taken any SAT Subject tests and b) I want to avoid sending scores later in the application process. Thanks</p>

<p>USC meets 100% demonstrated need (based on FAFSA + CSS Profile). if your family honestly cannot afford the cost of attendance but USC wants you to attend, they will give you money.</p>

<p>My son’s best friend was not offered any $$ to go to USC; Stanford gave him the full difference between FAFSA and tuition. So… draw your own conclusions.</p>
