So I am a junior and I took the SAT subject tests this past May and I got a 710 on the Bio(M) one. I’ve heard that for Ivy league schools as long as you get over a 700 it’s fine, but I’ve seen on conversations and other stuff that Brown applicants have SAT subjects more in the 750+ range. I am not a strong test taker in the first place, I am taking another subject test in August and the SAT next week. Other than this I have a strong GPA and ECs, should I retake the biology subject test? Also what scores are considered acceptable?
I wouldn’t worry too much about SAT subject tests. I got 750 on US History, 680 on Math 2, and 630 on French (not sure if I submitted that one). Not the best scores, but I still got in. Spend your time enjoying high school and finding your passions – that will shine through on your application, not these silly numbers.
Plus, subject tests aren’t even required (just recommended). As hard as it is to get in, test scores aren’t everything. Even if you had perfect scores, that wouldn’t guarantee anything and you have pretty solid scores as it is
