SAT Subjects Necessary?

On my last blue book practice test which had a shorter time limit, I got 1930, which is okay, but not up to par with Northwestern, Brown (which recommends standardized test scores), Penn etc. My GPA is definitely up there there and my ECs are okay, so I'd like to focus more on these scores before I take my next real test.

I do realize that SAT Subjects can really help, but what I'm wondering now is if it's worth the time and effort for Subject tests given my schedule. I can probably do Math II without much of a problem, and maybe bio/US History with moderate preparation but honestly with 16 credits and a bunch of other things like work and volunteering I don't have too much time to focus on these. I'd rather not risk sending in extra 500s and 600s, and I'd rather focus on boosting my reasoning score instead.

Would not adding in SAT Subject scores really hurt my application? Any success stories for those who went without? :p

While some schools require/recommend the SAT/ACT for transfers, none have such requests for Subject tests. The reason for this is because once you’re in college, Subject tests are redundant, your college record takes their place.
