SAT taken twice

I took the SAT in December and just recently in January

I got 800math,760writing,690 critical reading in december but then in january i got 740 math, 730 writing, 800 critical reading

so would colleges take my best scores and see 800 math, 800 critical reading, 760 writing?

sorry if this is a stupid question

Yes, most colleges will consider your highest scores on each section (that’s called superscoring.) There are some schools, including the UCs and Northwestern, look at your highest single sitting of the exam. Congratulations on your scores.
