SAT test 26.01.13

i put blah… was known for both…

@PiquantPeppers- i put was known for both

@thestats1234567, was there two different math problems, one with answer 16pi and one with 64 - 16pi?

i said change exist to plural.

Execrable means detestable or really hated. So it’s not the same as audacious (bold) at all.

sorry, were

did anyone get nostalgia as part of their answer for anything?

@bostonmom2 yes there was. the one with squares covering a table was 64-16pi and the one with two overlapping circles and a rhombus inbetween was 16pi

did u guys get different essay prompts? what examples did u use?

That there (exist) an infinite number of worlds (were)…blah blah?

I’m pretty sure “an infinite number of worlds” is plural

Number is only singular if its

‘the number’

@samlhs so was the answer was?

@samLHS its referring to a singular idea that there exist an infinite number of worlds so its was

So you would have to change exist to exists. not sure someone correct me on that.

And i did how Obama imitated FDR’s new deal and his use of Keynesian economics to bail out wallstreet

and To kill a mockingbird ofc (couldn’t think of anything else)

There was a comparison identifying sentence error question that talked about birds eggs

something like

“the egg of this bird was 2000x larger than that of the hummingbird” I said no error. I don’t believe it’s an improper comparison.

[Is Number Singular or Plural?](Is "Number" Singular or Plural?)

The exist is correct as is, so I put the other one because the other one (was it ‘were?’) didn’t agree in number.

If number is singular then exist stays exist and were goes to was

^ Right, that’s what I put.

Can someone explain why they chose “for example” instead of in other words?

Was that the IP with the sentence about the Luddites?

What did you guys get for the trapezoid question? 79 or 101
