SAT test 26.01.13

I went with “in other words” because it was the last sentence of a paragraph and I thought it made for a better conclusion than “for example”.

@BillyM yes, it was the one with all the commas. To the people who got 101 for the trapezoid, how did you come up with that?

…was 999 even a choice? or am i misremembering it as 998?
also, how do you guys feel the essay was?

i got 3 ne for sentence errors as well. now i am stressing out because i know i got at least 3 critical reading wrong ):

did you guys get a question
ax+by=c
y=mx+k

what is k?

did everyone get the passage about the cold war? my experimental section was reading and i’m really hoping that was it because it was HARD.

i thought the essay was very easy. i wrote that imitation is necessary, and used examples from technology companies, authors, and singers/songwriters.

for writing, is “training at” an academy right? or is it “training in”

yeah got cold war

for the short organic paragraph, did you get “organic is accepted but innacurate” for second question?
and also, did you get something like outspoken condemnation? i’m not sure which passage that one was from. other choices were amused disbelief and gaurded skepticism.

yes, that was our experimental i believe so i wouldnt worry about that

the cold war passage wasnt experimental because i got that one too

I got the cold war, that was like section 2 for me, I think experimental is the second or first writing for me,
ya organic is accepted but unconventional something like that and i the outspoken condemnation i think was for the coldwar, and i think i put casual something for it

@agreatperhaps 999 was an answer choice; you’re probably just not remembering it correctly. Also, did anyone else get 10^7 < x < 10^8 for the one with scientific notation and a/b where 1 < a < b < 10?

For the writing section it was the underlined section it was a question about papyrus, what’d u guys say for that one? I think i said (d) because it was a past verb like ____ed in the nile river

I got the cold war passage too, yeah that one took up over 10 mins by itself. 79 for the trapezoid problem (it didn’t look like it could be 101 anyway, I don’t think?) 999 on the greatest possible difference one. What’d everyone get for the t/s triangles one?

i chose guarded skepticism because i thought codemnation was too harsh and i got accepted but inaccurate as well

@hebheb- i got ‘at’ as well
@sat12399- yes, i said the organic one was inaccurate, but for the next one a put 'guarded skeptisim"

I picked guarded skepticism because i felt like condemnation was too strong of a word in the context of that passage but im not sure.

Can someone explain the circle with the trapezoid in detail please. Everyone is saying 16pi but I really thought it was 18pi.

Thanks!

And the essay was easy

yea i got 10^7<x<10^8 too. btw do you train at an academy or train in?
