Ya the ratio is 2 because if u look, both the bases are s, overall it was like 2s/s and evaluating that gives me 2

i ran out of time for the essay and rushed to a conclusion, and i only used two examples :(

The math question with the circle chart and 111 thousand people, was the answer 50 thousand, and the one with graph with trucks and cars was 75 right?

I used two examples also, i’m pretty sure everyone does. Even so, It’s better to have 2 well developed examples than just a list.

yeah i got 50 thousand but i got 100 for the cars and trucks

can someone explain the math question with two circles and finding the parameter of the darkened line?

i got 75 i believe.

Whoops the answer was 2. Apparently I can’t add very well.

@mangoboy yes that is what i got as well for both

@juniorhigh same here! Idk, the time seemed to go by really fast on that one because I was just finishing up my first example when the lady said we only had 10 more minutes. So I’m kind of iffy about the essay, though the prompt was pretty easy to think of examples for. Anyone still need that question about the length of the darkened part of the two circles with the quadrilateral in the middle (the answer to which was 16pi)?

I dont’t remeber the exact answer to the cars, i think one was 175 and the other was like 75 so i think 100 is right… maybe

did anyone get 16/5 for any of the answers?

but my second example was not well developed at all because i rushed through it…

…I’m pretty sure the cars and trucks was 75?

everyone is saying 16pi but i swear i thought it was 18

so if the perimeter of the rhombus in the center was 24 then a side was 6 so radius= 6. So to find circumference i got 12pi for each circle. which is 24pi and i multiplied that by 3/4 because the angle of the arc was 270 and i got 18pi.

If anyone could understand that please correct me.

Ya, I ran out of time on my second example, I had only 5 min for the third paragraph and i couldnt complete my commentary, im pretty much screwed for the wrting

@SamLHS- how do you know the angle of the arc is 270?

does anybody remember the answer to the one where it said 10 people are in math and 9 are in academic or something like that? i got 4 for the answer

I said humorous anecdote to revelation

because the angle the rhombus made with the circle was 90degrees, i thought, even though it didn’t say that. So the arc of the circle had to be 270. I don’t really know.
