hey guys Im gonna be a senior next year and I took the sat twice....Ive gotten the same score twice on both of them....my score was V-450 M-500.....I really need to get at least a 970 to get bright futures scholorship for 75%.....I plan on taking the sat as many times until I get that 970....I have Kaplan books to help me study....So what months are usually the easiest months for the sat and when should I take it again

Whats a great way to get my reading score up
-the last sat in the graffite passage I only had 3 min to read and answer questions, so thats why I didnt do good....I need to pace myself

i never read the passages…

but, u can if u practice. SAT is all about practice. I’m sure you can bring your math and reading up about 100 points each if you just practice, order some books and study all summer.

i know my improvement story isn’t great

May 08- 1870
June 08-2040

but i only had about two weeks of studying tho, but i’m preparing to take it one last time. Hoping for 2150+

good luck

Princeton Review, Rocket Review, and Blue Book along with the online course are great tools to help u study

practice as in read and do practice tests from the Princeton review and blue book…how many sections should I do a week

and what months should I take the sat…I want the easiest months

There’s no such thing as an “easiest month” for the SAT.

like jan was easier than june

No months are easier. Maybe January was easier than June, but think of it this way-- no two tests are alike in questions but all tests are very similar. Each test is on the same level, so no test is easier than the other.

If a test is slightly harder than another one, it will have an easier curve. Otherwise, SAT scores from different dates wouldn’t be comparable. It’s the same with AP exams. A 5 on AP psychology in 2004 is the same thing as a 5 in 2008.

yeah. there is no easier test date…but i would take them in october, that way u study all summer, because if u take it in november, u will have a bunch of school stuff and u prolly wont study as much.

for June, I studied for 6 hours each day, (not counting breaks) for two straight weeks. It was hell and boring, but I feel that 170 points was worth it, and im doing it again to get my scores even higher.

You’re kind of where i am. I’m going to be a senior next year as well, but i don’t think there’s an “easy” SAT date. Plus, you’re not going to have a lot of time to take it again. I would say you only have October or November(or possibly a later date if you’re applying regular decision). I wouldn’t recommend any Kaplan SAT material. I haven’t actually looked through the books, but many people on CC DO NOT recommend it. Try something like Cracking the SAT, or you could get separate books for CR, Math, and Writing then purchase a book with a bunch of practice tests. That’s what i’m probably going to do. I hope this helps.
