SAT TEST October

I thought the registration deadline for the SAT TEST in October was in September, though I don't see the option for registering to take the test under my account, do anyone know what's going on?
Thanks

Is it likely/ possible for the SAT testing center in your area to inforce you to register as a stand by application, even if you meet registeration by the SAT deadline?

1) I registered for the October test just fine a couple of days ago. I have no clue what the problem is. Have you registered for the SAT before or do you have more than one account on CollegeBoard?

2) I have no clue what you are asking in the second question. Standby testing is only for those who have not registered to test, but still want to test. If you register by the deadline in September, you won’t have to do Standby testing. When you register, it lets you print out an admission ticket. You just bring the ticket and ID to the test center. They can’t force you to do standby; you don’t need to. You would already have your admission ticket.

Thanks

Yeah I don’t know why the SAT didn’t appear the first time.

My second question basically was asking if it was possible spots for the SAT could be full reguardless of regular deadline date, enforcing one to apply as a standby.

Test centers can fill up, even before the late registration date. My son just registered for the October SAT a few days ago and fortunately, his test center of choice still had seats. Nearby test centers were full however. The late registration date just means after that date you pay a late fee. I don’t know why the October test did not show up on your account. Test centers are not linked to your account, as far as I know.

It certainly can be filled before the regular deadline (as stated above^), but in that case, I would just take the test in another location.

Oh wow, well there is only one test center in my area for that date so I’ll definately try to get in as soon as possible. Though even if the test center fill up, can you still get in… just another room will be open?

I concluded that it didn’t appear because I had two applications out, though it really showed me how I need to register as soon as possible. My mom most likely wouldn’t drive a hour away to the nearest city just so I can take the SAT.
