SAT test taking plan

hey guys, rising junior here, so i'm taking the PSAT first in Oct
then i'm taking the SAT in Nov
afterwards, i was thinking of doing it again late Jan and then the March date
obviously, if i do great, then screw the rest lol

but my real point is: should i just get the SAT over w/ my junior yr? or leave one for senior yr?

the other problem is i'm gonna b takin the SAT II Bio next June, and it probably needs a retake senior yr (Oct?)

so would it be wise to get the SAT done with? or is there too little time in between each date?

thanks, i know it's a lot, but any insight would b appreciated

okay.. I'm an incoming senior.. and my advice- START AS EARLY AS YOU CAN!
I took the psat in october like all juniors..
then took SAT II's in May (I'd suggest to take them then, esp. if you're taking the APs).. I did well on them though, so I don't need to retake
then took SAT I in June.. did well.. but not good enough.. so I have to take it again in October
..basically, October is my last chance to do well.. because if I want to apply early, I basically don't have any other options..

don't count on your first score to be AMAZING. anticipate the worst.. so I suggest you start early, be done with it, and move on with your life

however, I do think you should start w/ the January SAT, not November
that way you'll get your PSAT score (in December) and you could analyze your problem areas and study what you need to improve on

good luck! and I congratulate you on being smart enough to start early..

(why couldn't I have been smart like that :P)

however, I do think you should start w/ the January SAT, not November

That's smart ^

Do that.

I wish I studied earlier and got everything over with sooner. I am now a senior and am studying for the first time for my SATs. I took it once with no studying or anything.

yeah but if i take it in january, then the time's too short leading up to the march SAT
rite now i'm leaning on doing the November one, then the March, then leaving one for senior yr

What about May? You could take SAT I then too..
and you should probably study and try to get your best possible score for Bio on your first try.. leaving it for fall is not a smart idea
you'll forgot much during the summer and colleges will see all of your scores (good and bad)
plus you lose money..

i'm not takin it in may, b/c i need to study for APs, it'll be too much stuff
well of course i'm gonna try to get my highest Bio score in june, but since the curve is so harsh, i'm gonna think that i'll need a retake Oct

also, i'm probably gonna take the SAT in Nov (leaning on it), so i won't know my PSAT score
is there much of a difference difficulty-wise b/t the PSAT and SAT? or is it just length/added essay/more questions?
