DD is a junior. She took the SAT reasoning test at the end of sophomore year and a couple of subject tests during sophomore year and scored well on these (SAT=2390; SAT Bio=790; SAT US History=780).
However, I just noticed the following on CMU's brochure :
" Only test results from the junior or senior year are acceptable."

Does this mean that she cannot apply to CMU with her test scores from sophomore year?

That’s what it says. If she did well back then I’m sure she will do very well on the tests now as she’s had time to learn more :)

@bookworm100 wow i didnt know that they only accept junior and senior year scores, thats honestly kind of stupid.

I took math 1 and 2 in 9th and 10th, respectively, and when I applied I submitted both and nobody wrote back to me complaining, or saying that my tests would be invalid or unusable. She did well on the subject tests if she submits them I don’t think anybody is honestly going to care if that they were from sophomore year. As for the reasoning test I don’t know how much they are a stickler about their policy, worth a shot though.
