Ahhhh this test prep is not going so well. My math sucked last year (600), so I've taken some practice tests and gotten some friends to drill me...

However, sadly, the last three practices have given me 610, 630, 630 in math. This really sucks.

I need to get at least a 650! Anyone have any tips? The odd thing is that I'm actually quite good at math - higher level math like calc and stuff - but the SAT just kills me for some reason.

I did pretty well on CR and W (760, 740), so math is reallllly bringing me down. Cram session before Saturday!

RELAX, theres not too much you can really learn before the test. Preping a few days in advance helps but other than that you should have good nights rest and light breakfast and you'll be fine.

I wouldn't do anythign at all.. forget about studying now and just relax. I dont think theres much else you can learn that can significantly help you. I have never studied for any SAT's ever. just a bit for grammar in writing. Then I took the SAT for my last time and got a 130 point jump. (just +50 in math, +80 in writing, and writing stayed the same at 700) overall it was a jump from 1920 to 2050.

Do a couple math problems in the morning, that usually helps me get into the test taking mood.

What helps me the most on the math section is choosing wisely what problems to do. The way I bombed it the first time was getting stuck and spending forever on some and always panicking and running out of time.

Also, since I love my little calculator so much, I' d almost reccomend at least looking into downloading a calc program that is easy to use for factoring and such.

how the hell am I supposed to relax and get a good nites sleep when I have one of the most important tests of my life coming up the next day? Ive tried to sleep before test days but I cant ever... I end up getting a bad nites sleep b/c Im too nervous... how do you guys do it? lol...
