SAT US History Study Book

hey everyone,

which study/review book is the most recommended for a high score on sat ii us history out of BARRONS, KAPLAN, and PR?? Kaplan seems good to me (its review is quite good) but i heard Barrons is the best..

also, how do the scores on the practice tests in these review books reflect on the real sat test?? i got on average about 5-7 wrong on the barrons tests..

i got like 40 wrong on each barrons and got a 800 on real test

AMSCO!!!!!!

I really didn't believe it was so great...even on test day when i came home thinking i'd missed 30 questions for sure and had to guess on like 50 more....

i suck at us history, i'm really a math/science person, i just took the test to seem more well-rounded...

and it paid off! i got a 770. not amazing, or even great...but wonderful compared to the fact that i expected to get like a 600=)

amsco definitely did the trick! don't bother with specific sat subject test prep books.

The SAT II US History For Dummies book is quite excellent, but it's not one of the three you mentioned. It's really geared to the subject test.
