SAT US History VS AP US History

I have the Amsco and princeton review AP US History prep books. I am planning on taking the SAT II US History exam. Should I buy the REA SAT II prep book too? for prep? or would that be unnecessary if I want to do extremely well?

(I have College Board's prep books, with a total of 4 past US History tests, so I have some idea of the test format.)

bump....................

I took the SAT II US History right after having prepared for the AP US History exam. I scored a 4 on the AP and a 720 on the Subject Test. So, I think if you prep for the AP exam and do well on it you will get a comparable score on the SAT II.

I studied mostly just AP materials, and got an 800 on the SAT II exam. (and a 5 on the AP test).

However, I had a really good US History teacher, and I enjoyed the subject. I know several people on this board have said that the two tests are quite different, and that you need to study separately.

I don't think they're that different- I got the same scores as Datkid and prepared only with an REA AP book.
