SAT US History

Is this test relatively easy to ace?

No..it's harder than the AP multiple choice and some questions are really obscure.

i got 680 with Just AP prep

It depends if your good at history, particularly U.S. history then you will most likely have an easier time acing it. As Physics08 mentioned the questions are more obscure. I am currently taking APUSH and I am using Amsco for AP and Barrons SAT II U.S. History. Taking the AP course doesn't neccesarly guarentee a good grade.

yeah you have to study more than just AP...get a good SAT II prep book and you should do pretty well

Really? I just studied for the AP test and got an 800.

Though I did have a really good AP USH teacher...

I think it depends mostly on how people deal with the question types. I thought SAT II questions were really weird and I got a 650. I did much better on the AP. I think an APUSH course is definitely helpful just because it gets all the information into your head but it doesn't guarantee anything simply because questions on the AP and subject test are so different.

bookaddict, once again you need to study sat II, assuming that your teacher isn't as good as yours

I thought the may AP was hard.

I pretty good at History...or so I thought...

But i'm going to take the SAT US history in november. I just got a book the other day and I took a practice test just to see how I would do. I got a 600 without taking history since junior year.

While I was studying for the AP test in may, I took a practice SAT II test and scorced around a 700...I got a 2 on the AP

which book do you guys recommend?

Amsco or Barrons.

AMSCO AP is the best but only has one practice test.

the questions are definitely more obscure. i got a 5 on the AP but only a 610 on the SAT II. i think that i guessed on too many at the beginning before i realized how specific each question is and got those wrong.

i used a Princeton Review AP study guide and it was really helpful.
