SAT vs. ACT and Early Action

I am currently a junior and would like to apply early action at stanford. I have taken the ACTS and scored ok (32) but think maybe I could score well on the SATs. However, I have not yet taken the SAT twos so I need them in order to apply at Stanford. The problem is there are only two test dates remaining between now and the November first early action postmark date, and one of them(mid october) will not be soon enough. So should I take the SAT twos at the upcoming test date and not bother with the SATs at all? Or should I take the SAT at the June test date, the SAT 2s later and not apply early action? Ive heard that the coasts prefer SATs(I'm from Iowa, where ACTS reign lol)

did u take the ACT with writing component...because if not then u need to as the colleges want that....
If u did then i think that u can just take the SAT II's and (maybe) retake the ACT..

Actually I took it with writing component when i took them in the fall. my overall writing score was 33, with the essay being 10/12. Can I submit the tests separately though? I scored lower on the test the other time(30) so i dont want to submit the whole thing, just the writing.

I am exactly in this same situation, and you can take both the SAT I Reasoning and the SAT Subject Tests before applying EA. I called Stanford and asked an admission rep. They don't care if you take the SAT (I or II) on October 14. They will still consider that score with EA.

If we registered for the Sat 1, can we switch to taking the Sat 2's? I'm kinda in the same jam as you.

Thanks guys! I think I will stick to plan of taking the SAT reasoning on June 3rd and then study my butt off for the SAT 2s in october and hopefully everything will be in place for early admisson. Good luck too everyone in the same boat...

Does November count for Early Action?
