I took the SATs in May and the Subject tests in June. All scores were OK, but i feel i can do better on the ACTs. I know brown accepts the ACTs, but is there a preference?

I want to know this as well. I took the SATs twice and then the ACTs once but I did substantially better on the ACTs. I need to know if I can just send those or if I have to send both for some reason. Also does one look better than the other?

I doubt one standardized test will give you more of an advantage than another. After all, both people who've taken the SAT and ACT have gotten in. You've already taken the subject tests, so you're fine. If you want the added work of taking the ACT, then by all means, go for it.

Rosie, I would suggest that you just endure a bit more testing and take the ACT. I was pleasantly surprised by my score compared to my SAT scores. As long as there is no preference from the college, might as well see if your ACT scores are good.
