I signed up for the ACT in October but have prepared none at all. I scored decently on the SAT (2300+). Would it be reasonable to assume at least, say, a 33+ without any preparation?

you may want to take a practice test or two just for timing’s sake. science might catch you by surprise.

I got a 2290 (superscore) on my SATs. One the first practice ACT test I took (from an official ACT booklet), I got a 33 composite. So, I think a 2300+ scorer could probably get a 33 without any prep.

Well, a 34 would reiterate your score. A 35 (if you scored 2350 or less) would improve your SAT score.

Honestly, getting a 33 is completely unnecessary. I recommend prepping for the ACT, so you can at least score a 34.
