SAT vs. ACT score

*repost, I put this in wrong thread

Hi, I got 1520 on my second SAT, 760 on both sections plus 21 on essay.
I got 33 on my ACT (36 reading and English, 30 math, and 31 science, 8 on essay).

I want to major in English and eventually become an English teacher. I’m applying to UNC Chapel Hill, UVA, William and Mary, University of Richmond, and UMD College Park. Should I submit just my SAT or my SAT and my ACT? My SAT is slightly higher but it’s impressive that I got 36 on reading and English on ACT.

Why not both?

Can you look at a conversion table? I would assume they would just want the one with the higher overall score.

First, you have nothing to hide from either score. Second, different schools may have different emphasis in different section scores. The conversion table is just for estimation considering all section scores. In your case, I would suggest to submit both.

The overall score is more important than the section breakdowns. A 1520 is a relatively stronger score than a 33. Go with the SAT.
