SAT vs ACT scores - which to submit?

S has higher ACT than SAT score - by concordance ACT is two points higher than SAT. Should he submit just ACT score or would schools rather see both?

Use this chart to make a comparison: http://phs.prs.k12.nj.us/guidance/SAT_ACT_Comparison.pdf</a>
And use the higher score. Hope this helps. :)

i think most people say to just give the higher school, but my counselor had me send both to the colleges i applied to… i did better on my act than my sat, but when i retook the sat i did significantly better. however, my counselor said colleges sometimes prefer to see similar scores on two different tests to show consistency :)

If ACT is actually higher (not exactly sure what you mean by “two points” higher) then you can just submit it EXCEPT: there are a number of colleges that have reacted anally to the College Board’s decision to allow students to choose what scores to send by declaring that beginning next year they will require students to submit all scores and for at least some of those that means all ACT and SAT scores that you have. As a result, you will be required to submit both if you apply to colleges that require all scores.
