SAT vs ACT

Scored 1440 on SAT (plus 740 on Writing though ND doesn't require) and 31 on ACT. Should I just send in SAT score?
Thanks

I would…i think the 31 is on the lower side and the 1440 should put right in the range…the two do the same thing (i.e. both are standardized test scores) so you mind as well just send in the one that looks better…though if you send in both I think they will just look at the SAT (just like they won’t look at your combination of SATs scores, they won’t look at the ACT if it hurts you)…

I really appreciate your response. I was leaning that way but value others’ opinions in this regard.
Thank you

ndocal- the 1440 is equal to a 32 on the ACT. ND doesn’t require the writing section but if you do well, like you did, they do value that score. This was the information the Admission officer told me when I called. My S got a 780 on the writing and we were bummed at first to think that it would be completely over looked. But that was not the case at all. Good Luck!!!

Also you might want to think about sending both SAT and ACT. They are fairly close and that shows consistency.
