SAT vs. ACT

do colleges look down on people who take the ACT instead of the SAT? Ive taken practices for both, and my SAT scores tend to be around 720M 680V 700W while my ACT practice composites are 34-35. can i take and send both so they see both of my test scores or is it advisable to take one over the other?

I would send both.

well my school only really seems to care about the act, and they don't make us take the sat...i've always gotten the impression that the act was viewed as somewhat inferior to the sat, but lately...people seem to be saying otherwise though, so...i dunno

my school is all about the act also, but id take and send both if your scores are good enough. a lot of schools accept both nowadays so do the act if you want to.

If they are both good send them both. Some people only send one or the other, as one might be a lot better. Like my boyfriend has a 1900 something on the SAT, but a 34 on the ACT. So its pretty obvious which one he'll be sending.

If you send both there is no question that you are "an intelligent person." It shows that not only can you think critically (SAT), but also that you have a large breadth of knowledge (ACT).
