SAT vs ACT

Which one to take,For me ACT is easier specially the writing section. Essays in ACT are those which are related to a students' life for example "School Uniforms". Essays in SAT are i think more of a philosphical type("is limiting personal intrests necessary for advancement of society").For me ACT essay is easy to write.

Seems no one has taken ACT here!!!

abhisiv you have taken SAT why bother with SAT (just my opinion)

i have to decide.. any input will be helpful .. especially the english sections .. and i have studied for the SAT, do you think i will have to study for the act differently?

Well, the ACT doesn't tests spelling, vacab so u don't have to memorize those never ending word list. There are 4 sections in ACT 1) English 2) Maths 3) Reading & 4) Science. English section in ACT is easier than in SAT(test punctuation, grammer, rhetorics etc),Maths is a bit harder than in SAT but still easy, Reading Section is easier in ACT (thought speed matters very much in this section) and Science Section is just plain common sense. If you want to give ACT this year only date available is 28 OCT as writing test is available only on this date in 2006(for testing outside US). So there is a slim chance that it may overlap with your A level exams.

can i use my SAT Reasoning writing instead of the ACT writing?

no, ACT score could be used instead of SAT I
