I sent my ACT to everywhere I'm applying b/c I got a 35. I just took the SAT and got a 2280. My subject test scores are 780, 780, and 760 for Math II, U.S. History, and Chemistry. I have already had the SAT stuff sent to the schools that require or recommend SAT II's. I haven't had it sent to Yale, Penn, or Duke however, b/c they say they want SATs or ACT, and I figured my ACT was good enough. Should I send my SAT scores to those schools, as overall they aren't as good as my ACT but they're still really good, or will that **** them off if I send both (since they ask for one or the other)? My SAT IIs are pretty solid, but would sending in the SAT reasoning take away from my ACT score or help legitimize it?

(At Yale's little site on CB, it says 96% submit SATs and 21% ACT, so it seems like many people who send the ACT also send the SAT).

All of your scores are great, and SAT IIs are usually necessary, so just send them. The 2280 won't take away from the 35. They only consider your highest score, and the 35 ACT is higher. No worries.

Some colleges develop their own data for their own concordance table of SAT and ACT scores, but a lot of colleges use the one linked above by College Board.

The U of Texas has its own table, based on data from U of Texas applicants.
