Hi everyone, I was browsing this forum at the "Chance Me" threads, and noticed that everybody is listing their SAT scores. I took both the SAT and the ACT. I got a 34 on the ACT, but only a 2000 on my SAT. It seems as though everybody listing their SAT's is a sign that the University smiles upon that particular test. Do you know if they value either test more or less, and if it will hurt my chances? Thanks

They’re considered equally. Your ACT score is better than your SAT score.

Colleges put equal weight on ACT and SAT.

Edit: Darn! Silverturtle beat me.

Would it be better for me to report my ACT and not my SAT? Or would that not even matter?

If the scores are similar, send both and leave it up to the school to decide which is better. If one is clearly better, there is no point in sending both. In your case, there is no reason to send the SAT score.
