SAT W-- BEST PREP BOOKS?? (750+ ppl)

Asking all 750's and above scorers for SAT WRITING section.

Right now I'm in the high 600s and really really need to improve it.
1)How did you guys study for it and 2)which grammar books are MOST HELPFUL in terms of boosting multiple choice aspect of writing??
(I already have the colege board official sat study guide... I've done it several times so when I go over a question, I already know what the answer is... so it's not really helpful now.)
(Also i've heard of silverturtle's writing guide and partially looked at it. But I didn't think it really helped. I felt as if the explanations were too tedious and I didn't get the practice I needed...)

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Pleaseeeeeeeee help and thank you!

You can always take a look at Barron’s SAT writing workbook.

dont get any books…just use sparknotes…got mine from mid 600 to mid 700+ with their guides.

Buy the writing exercises from Ms. Erica Meltzer–her book is referred to in post #3 above–but if you want to just jam on exercises, her worksheets are killer for success.

I also liked Barron’s writing workbook.

Barron’s, Barron’s 2400, Barron’s Writing

do you think erica’s book is sufficient as is? or do you think that the extra tests 1-8 book is also necessary?

Do you think that book is any good for someone who has a 680? I learned a lot from using the official practice tests and reading the answer explanations.

There isn’t one book that is particularly better than others. I got an 80 on the MC section, but didn’t finish the essay - I can safely say that the best books are the ones which have the most problems for you to do. That is all.

I got 800 the first time I took it and 790 the second time.

I used this book to prep: [Kaplan New SAT Writing Workbook: Kaplan: 9780743260336: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Kaplan-New-SAT-Writing-Workbook/dp/0743260333/ref=sr_1_11?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1369182630&sr=1-11&keywords=kaplan+sat+writing)
