SAT without accommodations

Another question: Has anyone requested that a college that generally requires SAT (or SAT II's plus ACT) to waive the requirement for a well-documented LD student who was denied appropriate accomodation by ETS? If there are any admissions folks surfing this thread, it would be most interesting to hear your thoughts on this.

In general, I think the legal process would NOT lend itself to a resolution quick enough to be of much help for the student(s) affected. Legal decisions and appeals can take many years during which the student & family are left "in limbo."

As a practical matter, for the individual student & family, it is often best to work things out as best one can with the school and testing services (tho Orange Blossom's situation seems grossly unfair she was able to get a good resolution for her student).
