SAT World History-International-June 2013

I’ll try to do some research

For the Brazil question:

The answer was runaway slaves: [Quilombo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Quilombo - Wikipedia)

Noble savages: Tahitans.

[Louis Antoine de Bougainville - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“Louis Antoine de Bougainville - Wikipedia”>Louis Antoine de Bougainville - Wikipedia)

I remember something about Maize being the main crop of America?
@ Gloogle I also put military dictatorships in Africa.
Also what were the results of world war 1 and Stalin Mussolini?

Also, is 11. Two societies the mongols conquered in 12th: Sassanid & Byzantine a real question?

The Sassanids were extinguished by 640 AD. Byzantines never fell until 1453. I think you need to clarify that one.

Thanks DMAzai!

I did some research on the Africa situation, and mostly, either one of these happened:

Overthrow/Coup/Assassination/Abdication/Dictator soon after independence. Ex. Coup by Gaddafi

Socialist state supported by USSR and China

Monarchy that would soon go through no. 1

Egyptian dude and Pharaoh: Tasks given to low ranked ones

He said in the text that they had never given a low ranked person such an important task before. Not even the viziers knew about it.

Stalin Musslini was something about private sector I think.

@DMAzai I know. I put the something else, but consensus on the thread was the Sassanids so i put them.

ww1 and Mussolini? could you help me remember what the rest of the question was?

I put franks and russians.
Mussolini was what did stalin and mussolini disagree on.

Ah i remember now, yeah mussolini was the private sector

@kiwieagle I put franks and russians too, but aren’t the Franks too far west to get invaded by Mongols?

It was arabs, not mongols.

@kiwieagle yeah and it was 7th century

ohh yeah. sorry I don’t remember the details so clearly now. :(

People that got attacked by the Mongols: Xia Xia, Kara Khitai Khanate, Jurchen, Koreans, Song China, Delhi, Khwarzemenian Empire, Georgia, Russia, Hungary, Poland, Ottoman Empire, and the Mamluks.

If it isn’t there, it wasn’t attacked by the Mongols in any way shape or form (Genghis, Ogedei, Kublai Khan, Golden Horde, Timurids, etc.)

Was a consequence of ww1 increased imperialism?

Right, right. Now I’m trying to remember the rest, and nothing seems to be coming out. I’m not sure if it was because they were easy, or because I just guessed though.

I found the test quite ambiguous at some parts/overly detail-oriented in others. :(

Imperialism remained the same after WW1 more or less. Think colonial possessions in Africa and Southeast Asia remaining under control of Britain, France, etc.

@damaan I believe it was retention of imperialism and something about it being only temporary, and later leading to ww2

Hmm… I was thinking of Manchuria by the Japanese and Ethiopia by Italy. And I think there was also some peace in the 1920s due to several pacts and booming economics. however, I am not sure :/
