Anyone taking it tomorrow? Or has taken it?

i will taking it tomorrow.

Yes, I am taking it tomorrow. Anyways which books did you guys use to prepare?

Barron's and Kaplan

I'm taking it, too.
After a month of not studying for World History at all (since AP was over), I forgot so many things.
I started studying literally two days ago with Kaplan's. When I started, I immediately took a diagnostic, and to my dismay, I got a...HUMILIATING 570!
So, today I crammed all day and I just took another practice test and received a 710.
I've read how people who take Kaplan's practice tests get 500s-600s but 600s-700s in 10 Real SAT 2s Books.
Hm...

Anyway, back to studying.

Hopefully the Kaplan's tests are harder than the actual exam. Well good luck in your studying just make sure to go to bed early.

I'm a last minute crammer, lol.
I can't sleep for tests like these.
So guys, what have you been getting on your practice tests? (Score+Publisher)
Let's see how we're all doing.

Kaplan
diag. I got a 740~750 I think
1st test 690
2nd test 750
3rd test (which I took last night) 770

Princeton Review
750~760

Wow, you little smart poop! lol!
And you're one year younger too, hehe.
I'm just hoping for at least a 730ish on the actual test; a 750 would own.

Off to try some barron's then even more last minute cramming.

How do you know I'm younger?
I wanted to get a Barron's but questioned its copyright date. Is it better than Kaplan's?

It says 2007, so I just assumed.
Well, I tried to take a Barron's test the other day. But the weird questions detered me from doing so. Look at these:

2) Mary Leakey's discovery of Zinjanthropus is important not just because it was evidence of a species called Australopithecus boisei but because it was found in suti, which means that
(A) Bone fragments represented a complete skeleton.
(B) Fragments could be matched chronologically with specie fragments.
(C) fragments were found in their original place along with other remains including indications of lifestyle.
(D) surrounding fragments had been washed away.
(E) fragments, discovered along a river bed, offered evidence of the surrounding geologic formations.

3) According to recent DNA reserch,
(A) humans with similar DNA characteristics share similar skin color.
(B) each of the modern races probably descended from a single ancestral type.
(C) individuals with darker skin tones are of a single race.
(D) some black-skinned peoples share closer DNA to peopel outsider their race than within it.
(E) racial characteristics and skin tones were well establoished as hominid types evolved.

Err, they are sort of relevant but, this ain't no Biology SAT 2!
Maybe it's just me...lol

barron's is very weird lol. I took the test on the Real SAT book and got a 800 although it was on the low range. After taking the AP I am pretty confident. Just hoping some super detailed questions are not there :). I didnt study for AP World either so I may be screwed if we get like detailed questions. Otherwise I Would say I am more or less prepared.

Anyone got any hard questions to answer or think is worth mentioning?

I'm using Barron's AP World History review for this. Is it comparable? I find Barron's to be okay. It's not hard nor easy.

One of the questions was "What continent does Iceland belong to?"

I haven't read the AP review book (I just cracked it open today, despite the test being a month ago), but I really wasn't sure whether or not Iceland belonged to North America or Europe.

Wow, even my OWN stupidity astounds me.

But yeah, now I know for sure Iceland is European.

I've read on these forums that the AP and SAT 2 should be studied independently? (meaning two different books?)
I have no clue.

Pleaaaaaaase, easy test this year.

I think AP World and SAT 2 World goes hand in hand, I mean it's still same history or did Hilter win WWII in AP World? lol

I guess because AP stresses those trends (gender roles, and er...like four-five others) and puts less emphasis on European history. The Sat2, in my opinion, has so much on European history that it seems like the majority of the test.

So guys, are you READY?!?!

I'm debating if I should take Math 1c with this or just study more to ace this -_-.

World History is going to be an easy ride, I hope.

However, Math Level 2 is going to kill me. I'm great at math when it's all fresh in my mind, but give a week or two and it rots. And it's been an entire month since I've last touched it.

Good luck you guys, I'm off to sleep!

Used just Kaplan and Real

Diagnostic - 800
Test 2 - 700
Test 3 - 800
Real - 800

Finished the test 10 hours ago, pretty confident about it.
