SAT writing and CR HELP needed

this will be my first cc post
slightly obnoxious that it took so long as i have been lurking around cc for an year

coming to the point
i took the sat in june and scored a 2090 (800 math, 650 writing (8 essay), 640 cr)
i would appreciate any help in cr and writing so that i could get at least 740 + on both
can u guys tell me how u prepared and by how much u improved

by the way taking the nov test

Writing:
Study the grammar rules
Make sure to outline ur essay for a few minutes before beginning

Reading:
Go to any website like quizlet and learn as many vocab as u can. u dont want to be losing points on vocab.
For the passages, read through once and make sure u understand what the author is emphasizing
Then look at the questions and answer the ones with line numbers first to get a better understanding and then do the general questions.

thx

bump

For the writing section I recommend reading this; http://thecriticalreader.com/general-grammar-tips/sat-grammar/item/264-complete-sat-grammar-rules.html</a>
It has almost all the rules used on the SAT and after reading it just once, I managed to make considerably less errors on my practice tests.
When are you taking the SAT? I’m taking it in November.

november

This thread has a method for CR in it and a lot of people seem to benefit from it. I’m using it myself right now.
My scores from the first practice tests are similar to yours. 800 math as well and CR and W in the low 600’s.
I live in Holland and English is not my native language though.
