SAT Writing for the Class of 2011

How important is Writing? Is it counted the same now as a regular SAT I subject, or is it still viewed more like a SAT II (since no official percentiles had been released by College Board or the individual schools in their 25th-75th percentile stats)?

Search around this board, there's a survey Kaplan put out that show how specific colleges look at it (Some weigh it the same, less, not at all, or are unsure).

Well the college board has come close to releasing an official percentile list because it will most likely be based on the following estimated percentile list:

<a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/student/testing/sat/scores/SATpercentile.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/student/testing/sat/scores/SATpercentile.pdf</a></p>

As to 25-75 percentile stats, I remember reading PR's newest Top [insert number] College, and I remember that they even had tentative values for the writing section [though I don't see how they developed these, but just a thought].

Also, I know for a fact that there's a link out there, I think it's Kaplan, and they asked some large amount of number of schools whether they will weigh writing more than the other two sections [I think Loyola was the only one], will weigh it equally, less, or not even count it, so...

I know that there are several schools that now list the Writing score with their breakdown of 25-75% SAT scores for the Class of 2010. I'd assume that these schools will consider that score.

Found it!

thanks so much!
