SAT writing HELP

I know that the majority of people think that the writing section is the easier one, but..
I seem to be so bad at writing. Grammar and all those rules.

but then the last SAT i sat, I did well on my essay (12) but my overall score was 700.
its seems so impossible.

can someone help me?
is there a book or a guide out there to lead me?

cheers

lalalala

how r u bad at grammar and the rules and still score a 700? do u just read the questions and listen to your ear? please tell me lol and essays…whats ur strategy?

my essay strategy wasn’t so great. I just wrote a really long essay (two pages long) with three examples. one of my examples was actually a lie, but they didn’t seem to notice, which underscores the fact that they don’t meticulously examine your essay:D

my grammar is bad.
is there anyone else who can help me, considering that I did well on my essay but still got a 700 means that I suck.

thanks to anyone who replies

I got an 800 on writing with a 10 essay (epic curve win).

Therefore, I got every question on the writing section right.

What really helped me was just going over the rules of grammar and treating it like a problem that way, not reading it and picking the right-sounding answer because a lot of the answers (usually at least two) sound right.

go read grammar rules on sparknotes and barrons

lalalalalalalala

thanks jontheman

I guess it really is like a problem that requires you to work it out.

I got 80 MC and 10 essay for 800 too, but I did it also completely differently. For the spot the errors, I use my grammar rules, but for the sentence choices, I just go with feel, and see which one feels the best and is the least awkward. Works every time :X

thank you gensis.

so it works out for the sentence choices.
is it true that Most of the correct writing answers are the short ones? it seems really awkward if that happens

Most of them are, but some of the short ones, if read out loud, will have an OBVIOUS grammar flaw in there.
