what’s all this about unreal, abstract, or future actions…dunno

but idiomatically…finished in the past perfect makes sense to used a gerund

I had finished jerking off before my mother stormed into the room.

Referring to the future, then yes, to finish would make sense.

I plan to finish my homework by tomorrow.

THIS DOESNT LOOK LIKE A REAL SAT QUESTION BTW…this never test u like this…looks like one of those fake barron’s questions

NO B IS WRONG BECAUSE IT IS REFERRING TO THE SIMPLE PAST (AN ACTION COMPLETED IN THE PAST)…WHERE AS…HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED…REFERS TO PRESENT PERFECT WITH RELEVANCE IN THE PRESENT…WHATS THIS ABOUT PASSIVE VOICE…WHO IS SPEAKING??

NO “THEY HAVE IN FACT (BEEN) DEVELOPED…” U MISSING THE “bEEN”

The answer is (having lay), what should I change this to??

LIE (INTRANSITIVE AS IN RECLINE) LAY (TRANSITIVE WITH OBJECT)

LIE LAY
LAY LAID
LAIN LAID
LYING LAYING

HAVING LAID…IS THE ANSWER…AND WE’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT KIND OF GETTING LAID…LOL
